This event will consider current conditions in the Far East and South East Asia, examples of best practice and explore the opportunities for growth in the region. Drawing on the NMK New Media Exports Survey, it will also look at export trends in the digital sector, and the UK's perceived strengths and weaknesses.

NB: Due to unforseen circumstances, this event has been CANCELLED.

Doing business overseas is a key pathway to growth for many companies, and this channel is increasing in importance daily for digital enterprises as demand for all things ICT-related climbs and global competition intensifies. New markets are opening up, with India and the Far East experiencing phenomenal expansion in terms of digital services and content.

This event will consider current conditions, examples of best practice and explore the opportunities for growth in the region. Drawing on the NMK New Media Exports Survey published in March, we will also look at export trends in the digital sector, and the UK’s perceived strengths and weaknesses.

Whether you design mobile interfaces, create search engines, produce content for iTV platforms or specialize in software development, the opportunities presented by this situation are undoubtable. But how do you start exporting your services eastwards? How do you find partners, staff, business information and support that will give you a stable foothold in the region?

Moreover, how do you get the location and sector-specific market intelligence you need, and adapt your product or service accordingly? Are you targeting Korea, China, India or elsewhere?

Who Should Attend:
You may be looking at concrete opportunities in the region, have experience in the east, or still just be thinking about venturing into that area. Whatever your position, this afternoon event will provide context and insight.
