Is the course for you?
The course is aimed at anyone who is intending to set up a business, designing their own product, manufacturing their own product and / or selling their product to the retail industry.

Course Outline:

Session One - Identify your target consumer
(Thur 31 March)
Starting with an introduction by Goat UK, you will go online and look for possible manufacturers worldwide. Identify your target consumer. Are they ABCD or E band? Then learn how to create the right image for marketing that reflects the product aspiration.

Session Two - Branding, marketing and promotion
(Thur 7 April)
You will be asked to draft a business plan. Or in the case of those with a business plan you will be asked to review it.

Session Three - How to find retail buyers
(Thur 14 April)
Using problem solving and research skills you will identify how to find retail buyers. Plus learn how to handle tax, shipping, customs and import/export.

Session Four - Branding your own company
(Thur 21 April)
Having identified your target consumer you will design and consider the product from packaging to point of sale. Finally after more problem solving you will make a list of step-by-step actions to set up your business.
