Channel 4 Education launches SuperMes

Channel 4 Education has just launched SuperMes, an online drama played out by virtual actors – a tale of four extraordinary folks and their triumphs and tragedies, as they learn how to be stronger and more resilient people. SuperMes has been created by content design company Somethin’ Else in collaboration with US-based games publisher Electronic Arts and uses The Sims™ 3as its platform – a virtual studio and soundstage. We are pleased to welcome Simon Ritter, Technology Evangelist from Sun Microsystems and Jeff Patmore, Head of Strategic Research from BT as guest speakers for the evening.

Java Workshop, 2pm - 5pm

In addition to the usual Think and a Drink, Simon Ritter is also going to run a 2 hour workshop on the future of Java for developers. This will be a high level, practical hands on workshop which will require participants to bring their own laptops with them.

This workshop will provide an ideal opportunity for anyone using Java to brush up on their current skills and learn new techniques

Workshop Cost: £25.00 per person
