If you’re a visual artist, the internet can be a useful tool for gaining and growing public attention for your work. But how can you protect your work from being copied when using the web in this way? Maybe you have appropriated images by other people within your own works, but might you in turn allow others to use your own work in the same way?

This Own It event will cover the different ways to protect and publicise your visual work online, particularly in the light of new initiatives such as Creative Commons and how you can use it to your creative advantage.
