NMK in association with PACT present an evening event, looking at how media producers can best protect, control and exploit their creative and intellectual assets in a multi-platform world.

New Media Knowledge in association PACT (Producers Alliance for Cinema and Television, www.pact.co.uk) are holding a comprehensive programme of events aimed at new media and TV practitioners which will examine the complex issues of commercial and creative collaboration in the development, funding and production of original projects across multiple digital platforms. There will be six events in all, running once a month. The series is produced by NMK and interactive content consultant Stephen Jeffery-Poulter.

This event, the second of the series, will be exploring issues related to intellectual property rights, often considered to be the battleground of the digital economy. In particular, it will be looking at how media producers can best protect, control and exploit their creative and intellectual assets in a multi-platform world. An Intellectual property expert will outline some of the issues, while digital media professionals will discuss their own strategies for getting the most value out of their creative property.
