Opportunities in Quba
Sheffield-based New Media independent production company Quba is offering a one-year bursary that will allow the postholder to develop the skills, experience and education for a career in the industry.
The trainee would work through a post-graduate diploma in Digital Arts and Media at the University of Bradford while working for the company. It’s hoped that the course and daily personal mentoring from Quba will create a structured focus to the traineeship. The post carries a salary of £20,000 p.a.
What do Quba do? The website explains it thus:
Quba designs and produces unique digital experiences, from an interactive banner ad to a fully integrated Customer Relationship Management system, or an interactive DVD. Our greatest strength is that our complex behind the scenes work stays behind the scenes. Your users will get a pure, enjoyable interactive experience, without a moment’s consideration for how it works.
The programme will start on 15 October 2007 and is being co-funded by Channel 4 and the University of Bradford.

Closing date: 10 September 2007.
