The New Statesman is looking for nominations for its annual New Media Awards: http://www.newstatesman.com/newmedia.

They've been running the awards since 1998/9 and the awards focus on the positive benefits of new media in the UK – in particular for society, democracy and government. Past winners have included TheyWorkForYou.com, FaxYourMP, Feed Me Better, ABC Tales, Hungry and Homeless - to name just a few.

When digital technologies intersect with civic life, they can impact a small community or an entire nation. The New Media Awards celebrate those UK new media projects that benefit society, government or democracy.

The theme of this year’s awards is 'The Power of Ideas' – with a special emphasis on innovation, usability and efficiency.

It’s free to make a nomination so if you know of (or are involved in) a new media project that deserves recognition, be it a blog, mobile/wireless service, web app, or web site, make a nomination or two (or even more):
