Vivcast Live, announced 23 May 2006, represents a significant leap forward in streaming technology, making real-time live encoding and broadcasting to mass audiences more simple and cost effective than before.

Vividas' technology is widely admired, with its Vivcast Encoding Suite delivering full-screen, broadcast quality video content to virtually unlimited online audiences, without users needing to download software. Vivcast Live is the latest addition to the suite, and seamlessly enables video content to be streamed in real-time. It is set to become the streaming technology of choice for live events, from music festivals and concerts, to international sporting occasions or corporate news announcements.

Building out an international network...

Vividas is working with a number of international partners to deliver its pioneering streaming technology, including media companies, television broadcasters, audiovisual and IT resellers and systems integrators. It is hoped the showcase in Cannes and New York will attract new partners and customers to its already impressive international network, which includes Honda, Shell, Adidas, BMW and Sony, to name a few.

Vivcast Live technology offers the whole live package in one box and one universal format, with a simple pricing structure and product support. In addition, Vividas uses a standard web server to deliver the video, so it can easily be integrated into an organisation's existing infrastructure.

Richard Collins, CEO of Vividas, said: "Vividas is taking video streaming technology to the next level with the launch of Vivcast Live. We're committed to solving the complexity of streaming large quantities of video content online, making it simple and cost-effective for any organisation. These are exciting times for the industry and we're looking to increase our market share by delivering consistent innovations in technology, backed-up by our unrivalled infrastructure."

About Vividas:
Vividas Group plc is a developer and provider of video technologies that enable full screen, high quality video via the internet, networks or on CD without requiring previously installed software. Vividas proprietary technology overcomes the disadvantages of competing solutions that typically offer only partial screen, or poor quality full screen, viewing and generally require the user either to have or to install specialist player software.
