On the search for innovative creators in the field of the moving image, HYPtv have launched a commission, sponsored by Xbox, for new work on their web site. www.hyptv.com The £1000 tender is to create new work for HYPtv with an Xbox 360 as additional prize.
Under the banner TV has a short future the challenge is to create novel forms of televisual entertainment: moving image that can win the fight for the viewer's attention, keeps audiences switched on.
HYPtv wants to see work that beats the long winded bore, content that follows a vision, material that matters as it makes a point - now.
Open to all creatives working in the field of the moving image, judges include Graham Fink, creative Director M & C Saatchi, director of thefinktank.
Submissions must be no longer than 10 minutes. The tender for commission will go to the creator of the most original work, based on the quality of the concept, quality of execution and how it's driving that genre forward into new areas.
KEY COMMISSIONING DATES:
• 7 Apr – Deadline to send in an example of work for submission.
• 23 Apr – Announcement of short-listed entries and broadcast on Sky 181, 8pm - 9pm.
• 28 Apr – Announcement of winning entry of the tender for commission.
• 7 May – Broadcast of winning entry and best of short listed entries on Sky 181, 8pm – 9pm.
