Unlike current specialist youth channels, HYPtv will be a creative community based on a model of democratic curatorship. There are plans to evolve shared resources and knowledge online with creative forums.

Programming
With a dynamic, kaleidoscopic, unpredictable and hypnotic line-up of bite-sized material, HYPtv promises more creativity and original programming on screens everywhere. Moreover, HYPtv want to respond to an audience who demands something new every day, every hour, every minute and they belive the short programming format is perfect for today's multi-screen viewers who have increasingly low-attention thresholds.

Audience
HYPtv's primary 18-34 target audience comprises the millions of creatives worldwide looking to showcase their work, style leaders and arts lovers who like to keep in touch with the latest trends, as well as those driving the revolution in screen-based entertainment.

HYPtv started broadcasting on TV on Sunday January 29th 2006 - on Info TV at 8pm. At present it's a fortnightly show - but they're looking to increase the hours so you can tune in daily by the summer.

• HYPtv on mobiles, broadcasting summer 2006

About Hype TV:
Conceived by founding directors, Bob Palmer and Dave Cook who run an advertising creative consultancy, HYPtv is for a new generation of 'evergreens' – people who are staying younger longer – and for multi-tasking, ipod-listening, mobile phone-texting, ubiquitous screen-gazing youth. A melting pot of ideas, HYPtv is as much a culture as a broadcast channel, a place where everyone – including brands and industry – can mingle. This offers a unique opportunity for talent to air their work to the people who matter in their field. www.hyptv.com
