The site specialises in clothing, shoes, accessories, leather
goods, jewellery, furniture, and homeware. It features a wide
range of articles from previous collections, stock surpluses or
cancelled orders of the most prestigious brand names. All
merchandise is brand new and up to 75% off of retail
prices.
Entrepreneurial expertise only a click away
E-commerce is currently a £ 15 billion industry in the United
Kingdom. This figure is predicted to soar to £ 47 billion in
2008. Brandalley’s future is bright and it is looking to become
the number one actor in the United Kingdom promoting successful
partnerships with brands on Internet.
The site’s founder and President, Sven Lung, is an established
entrepreneur who works with important investors, including the
famous American web entrepreneur Kevin Ryan, founder of
DoubleClick and Chairman of the Advisory Board of Brandalley.
With an initial investment of almost seven hundred thousand
pounds, the Brandalley team is developing marketing policies
that match the positioning of the brands represented. The latest
round of financing by prominent venture capitalists is to close
on December 7, 2005.
The explosion of e-business and e-consumers
The site currently has 60 brands and 5,000 different products
available. Brandalley is expanding and will soon also sell
sporting goods and high-tech name brands. By summer 2006, the
site will showcase 100 brands and 20,000 products and will
deliver all over Europe.
The Brandalley French site currently has 600,000 visitors per
month. Since the site was launched, orders have increased by
300% each month. There are 450,000 members and an additional
400,000 are expected to join by the end of 2005. The site in
France has an estimated turnover of €7 million for 2006.
Founder and president Sven Lung said: "Over the next five
years, we are not only aiming to become number one in Europe in
selling discounted brand products. Once our site becomes known,
we want our customers to discover famous brands from other
countries too in order to open them up to the European
market."
