NMK is looking for two talented, dynamic individuals with a passion for interactive media to look after this magnificent new website and build up our calendar of events and courses. The deadline for applications is Friday 19 March 2004.

NMK is a thriving business network, providing industry intelligence for the UKs digital markets. Targeted at the business requirements of companies and individuals, NMK offers a comprehensive programme of topical events and courses. As part of its commitment to the growth of the industry, NMK offers its online publication www.nmk.co.uk, free of charge. Through the website, digital media practitioners can share and exchange knowledge, experience and skills. As well as providing an open forum for practitioners contributions, the NMK website publishes its own research, white papers and articles. This interactive platform aims to promote a healthy, profitable, creative and diverse UK digital economy.

NMK is one of a suite of knowledge exchange and learning and development activities, developed and owned by the University of Westminster. Through financial support form the London Development Agency (LDA) and from the university, NMK has been able to completely redevelop its online presence.

As a result of recent expansion and investment, NMK is looking to fill the following two posts:

Editor and Webmaster

www.nmk.co.uk needs an editor. This person will be responsible for all aspects of the website, with a particular focus on its content. The role requires a unique individual with excellent journalistic and editorial skills combined with some technical ability. The individual must have a passion for new media and good industry contacts. In addition to the website, this individual will play a pivotal role helping to develop the NMK programme. The NMK team is dedicated and extremely focused and the successful candidate will have to hit the ground running. This post has great potential for the right candidate, providing excellent exposure to the new media industry at all levels. The small team is currently based in Mornington Crescent, London, and will be moving to new Cavendish Street in central London later in 2004.

Marketing and Events Officer

The prime target will be to grow the NMK membership through creative marketing activity, and quality delivery of events and other services. The role requires an organised reliable and sociable individual. First hand marketing experience is essential, as the role will require the individual to work very much on their own initiative, which for the right individual would be very fulfilling and an excellent career launch pad.
